SSA offers two scholarship options available for students attending SSA regular academic programs in Spain, Argentina, Cuba, Panama, and Puerto Rico. You may submit an application to only one scholarship: Merit-Based or Diversity.

Description

SSA scholarships are only awarded to students participating in their programs. Scholarship applications submitted by students participating in non-SSA programs will not be considered. 

 

Benefits

The scholarship is worth $1,500. SSA scholarships cannot be applied to program costs, including tuition. Scholarships are meant to offset extra expenses while abroad, such as flights, transportation, entertainment, etc.

Eligibility

  • This scholarship is especially designed for students with a strong passion for Spanish and Latin American cultures.
  • Strong preference will be given to students who demonstrate great dedication to their study of Spanish and Latin American cultures both in and out of the classroom.
  • Cumulative GPA Requirement: 3.5 GPA.

Essay entries should be between 400 and 500 words and written in English. Please include your name, program, and home school in the top right-hand corner, and submit your completed scholarship application via email with “Merit-Based Scholarship Essay” in the subject.
