Overview
Throughout the Applied Economics course from IE New York College you’ll acquire state-of-the-art technical tools for analyzing global markets and navigating complex economic environments. The program is divided into three terms and takes place on our vibrant and diverse Madrid campus. You’ll follow a structured learning journey that combines core courses, a final project, and your choice of five specialized tracks—three focused on core areas of applied economics, and two with a strong financial orientation: Sustainable Finance and Financial Technologies & Artificial Intelligence.
These finance-focused tracks are delivered in close collaboration with IE Business School’s top-ranked Master in Finance (MIF), offering a powerful bridge between applied economics and the financial sector. - Bachelor degree from an accredited university*
- Official university transcripts (certified translation into English or Spanish)

- Contact information of two relevant academic or professional references.
- English language certificate – we accept the TOEFL (minimum score of 100 but 105 recommended), the IELTS (minimum score of 7 but 7.5 recommended), Duolingo English Test (minimum score 130) or a Cambridge Advanced level. A certificate is not required if you are a native speaker, you completed an undergraduate degree in English, you have worked and lived for more than two years in an English speaking country, or if you have extensive professional experience in English. Nevertheless, should the Admissions Committee find it necessary, they may request one of the certificates mentioned above** .
