Description

AUC offers financial assistance to study abroad students, who are visiting AUC from their home institutions, as well as international non-degree students who enrol in AUC courses but are not currently pursuing a degree. 

The scholarship is awarded to U.S. study abroad students in any discipline or to support study in the Arabic language intensive programs (semester or summer). 

Benefits

Awarded for one semester to outstanding graduate students in any discipline from universities in the United States, who are committed to utilizing their AUC experience to promote greater understanding and relations between Egypt and the United States. 

Eligibility

  • You must be enrolled in a graduate degree program at a university or college in the United States.
  • You must be enrolled at AUC as a full-time graduate non-degree visiting student (9 credits/semester).
  • You must be enrolled at AUC as an international student (not paying Egyptian student tuition if dual national).

Respond to the following prompt in 750-1000 words: How will you utilize your AUC experience to promote greater understanding and relations between Egypt and the United States? 

Have one faculty recommendation letter sent via email that can attest to your interest and commitment to learning in Egypt. Include reference to your full name, the scholarship fund name, and your AUC 9-digit ID number.

Before applying for an AUC scholarship, meet with your home university study abroad advisor to learn about opportunities for financial support from your home institution.

Submit a program application to AUC.

Receive an acknowledgment email from the AUC Admissions Office that includes your 9-digit AUC ID number. 

Log in to Banner and select “Financial Aid and Scholarships Applications” to complete your scholarship application and upload the required documents.
