In your first semester we can team you up with a senior student from your programme. You will meet regularly to get to know the city of Utrecht, find your way around HU, discover the best places to hang out and learn more about Dutch culture.
Students make up a considerable part of Utrecht's population. This adds to the city's appeal, but it also means that finding a place to live can be a real challenge. And while we don't offer housing ourselves, we have an agreement with SSH Short Stay, a local housing corporation that rents out temporary furnished housing to our international students.
Studying at HU University of Applied Sciences means you get to enjoy all the benefits and facilities of our campus: Utrecht Science Park (USP), a veritable miniature city on the outskirts of Utrecht.
At the campus you'll find the universities' buildings, libraries, student accommodation, restaurants and cafés, a sports centre, the university hospital and various shops. It also enjoys excellent transport links to Utrecht and beyond.
Whether you are a serious athlete or just enjoy recreational sports, campus-based Olympus Sports Centre offers a full range of facilities and welcomes all HU students, offering a 50% on many activities. three sports halls, four squash courts, a fitness zone, a dance hall and a café, plus outdoor football, rugby and hockey pitches, two beach volleyball courts and nine all-weather tennis courts.
With so many international students here, it is no surprise that Utrecht has an active branch of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). This organisation aims to make you feel at home by bringing you into contact with other students, Dutch and international, and helping you learn more about your host city and country. It offers activities throughout the year, including excursions, parties, international cookery evenings, weekends away, sports days and social events. ESN Utrecht also provides practical help and advice about all aspects of life and study in the Netherlands.

The institution was quite professional, specialized in practical fields such as media and marketing. The lecturers and professors are accredited, however, some of them are just senior marketers with inadequate teaching experience, which put a dent in my education experience in Utrecht UAS.
Great teachers and students are nice. I have lived here (in the Netherlands (utrecht) my entire life so i cannot share information from an international perspective. There is a lot to do here.
The courses are very broad, which allows one to increase their fields of competence accordingly. In addition, the lecturers are all from a very professional background, which makes them competent and helpful.
