Comenius University in Bratislava is the oldest university in the Slovak Republic. It was founded on June 27th, 1919 and follows the university tradition of the Academia Istropolitana which was established in Bratislava by Matthias Corvinus, the Hungarian King, in 1465.

I was not aware of the quality of education offered at Comenius University in Bratislava, until I travelled to other countries as a mobility student and got to study and try new system of education. There are still many things needed to change, especially when it comes to international programs, international students and overall Slovak mentality toward foreigners.
