Description
The scholarship is exclusively designated for full-time bachelor's and full-time combined bachelor's and master's studies at a Slovak higher education instution. It is not applicable to master's studies.
Benefits
The scholarship programme grants up to €15,000.
The scholarship is paid out monthly over the first three continuing academic years of the bachelor’s degree programme, combined bachelor’s and master’s degree study programme or two continuing academic years of master’s degree programme in Slovakia, with a payment of €500 per month.
The academic year in Slovakia starts on September 1st and ends on August 31st of the following year. The scholarship is provided for a duration of ten months each year, from September through June.
Eligibility
- To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship of a country other than Slovakia, confirmed by a notarised copy of an acceptable form of identification.
- No permanent residence in Slovakia since January 1st, 2021 until the date of submitting the application.
- No prior study at a secondary school in Slovakia; for the bachelor's or combined bachelor's and master's level also no prior study at a higher education institution (HEI) in Slovakia, except for academic mobilities (at the master's level, prior study at a Slovak HEI is allowed only if the applicant continuously progresses from their bachelor's degree or was supported by the previous RRP/POO scholarship scheme).
- A standardised test result: SAT (minimum 1100 points) or SCIO tests in Mathematics and General Study Prerequisites (minimum average percentile 63)admission to a public or state Slovak HEI for a full-time study programme under the Smart Specialisation Strategy (SK RIS3 2021+), with studies taking place in the territory of the Slovak Republic.
- Full-time, in-person study programme.
- No upper age limit; applicants under 18 will need a hand-signed approval from their legal guardian (template available for download).

The applicant must register and complete the online application along with the attachments and submit it no later than 31 July, 23:59 CET.
A complete application must include all necessary attachments, SAT test results and solemn declarations.
