The cross-sectional nature of Geotourism study programme from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) does not exclude the employment of graduates in other branches of industry, including the economic-social sphere.

Learning objectives

Graduate of the study programme Geotourism, field of study Acquisition and processing of earth's resources (2nd level):

finds and presents own solutions to issues in the selection of suitable resources, as well as in research, development, design and projecting of systems, their security and use, especially in the field of geotourism and mining tourism;

creatively applies acquired knowledge in practice;

critically analyzes and applies the entire range of concepts, principles and practices of the field of study and the programme in the context of freely defined problems, while demonstrating effective decision-making in connection with the selection and use of methods, techniques and means;

knows how to implement complex technical, economic and managerial solutions based on modern methods and means.

a completed application for university studies of the first level

a certified copy of the completed secondary education with a certified translation into the Slovak language

the decision on recognition of completed education (validation) issued by the Regional Office Košice, Department of Education, Zádielska 1, 040 33 Košice

a certified copy of the transcript of records covering all the years of secondary education with a certified translation into Slovak. If the length of secondary education studies exceeds four years then a certified copy of transcript of records covering the last four years of study at secondary school is required

Curriculum Vitae in Slovak (or English, according to the language in which the applicant will study) signed by the applicant

a copy of passport

a proof of payment of the handling fee for the admission procedure (can be submitted to the Study department no later than the date of enrolment)
