To meet an international demand for quality education, The Institute of Technology offers a range of master’s programmes with instruction in the English language. All of the courses in the 20-odd English-language master’s programmes are also electives for students in the Swedish-language study programmes.
The Institute of Technology at Linköping University is one of the leading research institutions in Sweden in the field of emerging technologies and science. Cross-disciplinary research is one of the hallmarks of Linköping University.
Most of the research is carried out either through internal cooperation, for example in the ICT-area with researchers from the departments of electrical engineering and computer science, or through external cooperation, such as the Centre for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV), where researchers from medical engineering and scientific visualization collaborate with researchers from the Faculty of Health Sciences.
