Concordia University Irvine

About

History

The story of Concordia University dates back to the mid-1950s when a small group of Southern California Lutherans began to plan for a Lutheran college to serve the people of the Pacific Southwest. By 1962 the decision had been made by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) to build the new school.

Education

At Concordia Irvine we are dedicated not only to teaching certain subjects, but to shaping a coherent and comprehensive view of the world, of humanity, and of the God who created and redeemed both. It is this faithfulness to this mission and this heritage which makes Concordia graduates wise, honorable and cultivated citizens. They become citizens prepared to serve God’s world and proclaim God’s word.

Career

Career Services supports the mission of Concordia University Irvine by helping undergraduate students determine and fulfill their career goals through programs and services that foster, in each student, career management confidence via self-assessment, research, skill development, and exposure to opportunity.
