Services

Student services

Transitioning to college life can be a big change for anyone. We also know as an international student you may need guidance in areas a domestic student does not. That's why we're here to help you every step of the way.

Housing services

  • We're a small school with big heart. Our campus is a warm, welcoming place that strengthens and enhances your educational experience. You get all the benefits of a close-knit school with the amenities of a world-class university.
  • DSU students work hard, but we have just as much fun. Our community of 3,000 plus students is active in athletics, academic teams, research, and clubs and organizations. From ultimate frisbee to anime, intramural sports to volunteer opportunities, there's a way to find your people.

Library services

The Karl E. Mundt Library provides the resources and information for all your varied needs -- access to online articles and journals, books, ebooks, audiobooks, DVDs, video cameras, study space and a live online chat system for research help.

ICT services

But it’s not just science. All of our majors and programs are infused with the latest technologies inside and outside of the classroom.

  • All classroom seats have power outlets.
  • High-end computer labs, including our game design and hacker labs.
  • SMART boards.
  • iPads, Kindles, and Chromebooks.
  • 3D printers.
  • Starfish Early Alert System.
  • All students receive a laptop as part of our laptop program.

Medical services

From flu shots to urgent care and fitness facilities, we take a special interest in making sure that students stay happy and healthy during their time at DSU.

Student Life

Campus life

Gaming. Intramural sports. Movie nights. Whatever you’re looking for to keep you busy, we have it right here on campus. Stroll over to the TC to play a round of pool. Sit back, relax with popcorn and enjoy your favorite movie. Go head to head in friendly competition with a sport you love. Connect with others, engage yourself, be part of the Trojan community.

Sports facilities

As a DSU student, you’ll have access to the Madison Community Center, which is located on our campus and features:

  • A pool and sauna
  • Running track
  • Fitness equipment
  • Basketball court
  • Racquetball court

Student clubs

DSU's campus is home to more than 35 student-run clubs. Build model rockets with the Space Club. Act out in the Theatre Club. Celebrate diversity by getting involved with groups like The Alliance (LBGTQ students and allies), the Native American Student Association, or the American Association of University Women.
