On July 1st 1971, the Trustees of Indiana University establish IU East as one of seven regional campuses. With funds raised by area citizens, the trustees purchase 225 acres of land in Richmond, Indiana.
We offer over 60 programs, more than 800 courses, and degrees ranging from certificates to master's degrees
Student Research Day recognizes the research, scholarly and creative work of our student scholars. This special day recognizes the months and years of hard work of our student scholars, and in doing so, inspires others to excel in research, academic, and creative work. Student work that results from independent scholarship from courses, independent studies, summer research programs, Honor’s projects, and creative endeavors will be all featured.

The IU East Student Government Association (SGA) serves to promote student interests, needs and welfare within the University community and fosters relationships between the students, the faculty, and the administration. Also, SGA serves to ensure a positive campus environment and to provide for the expression of student opinion.
IU East does not yet offer official student housing, but we do have a list of affordable apartments and living here in town, a short drive from campus. Check out the Apartment Guide for more information. Be sure you tell them we sent you!

IU East is conveniently located in Richmond, Indiana. We're easy to get to—just minutes from I-70 on the Indiana-Ohio state line. We also have off-campus sites in New Castle and Lawrenceburg.

Taking into consideration that I have children I had a few challenges but overall I loved studying through IU East. I enjoyed most of my classes and I learned to work with my professors and apply myself to the subject matter. I attempted to do my optimal best in all of my classes. I love learning. It was an honor for me to get this far.
