On October 1, 1949, People’s Republic of China was founded. In order to cultivate talents with professional knowledge and basic understanding of Marxism-Leninism to construct the new China, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to establish Renmin University of China by merging the North China University and the China University of Political Science and Law.
Renmin University of China is a comprehensive research-oriented university focusing on humanities and social sciences. It also offers a range of courses in the natural sciences, information technology and environmental sciences. The university’s overriding tasks have consistently been the pursuit of truth and progress, cultural transmission and educating the country’s future elites. RUC is an important base for training high-caliber professionals in the social sciences and humanities and houses a number of influential research centers and think tanks.
The Research Center of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence was established by the Ministry of Education in 2001 under RUC School of Information. It is a research entity for the technical innovation and system integration of data warehouse and business intelligence engineering. Leveraging on RUC’s research strengths, the Center adopts modern industrial management system for research, development and production, in a way to build a first-class center for database industrialization.

I had a great experience at my university. All the teachers were great. I had many interactions with the students and teachers during my studies. I was an international student and the hardest part for me was to learn a new language and study with the native students. Apart from that overall 4 year studies were amazing.
Overall study experience was good, but I think the grading system is not fair because when you fail the class the 0(zero) of the grade will count on GPA even if you retake the class.
