Founded in 1965, Durham University Business School is one of the longest established business schools in the UK. The Business School is integral to Durham University, a globally outstanding centre of teaching and research excellence, and a member of the prestigious Russell Group of the UK’s leading research universities.

Housing services
All University accommodation is based in one of our colleges and all full-time postgraduate students become a member of a college, whether you live in college or elsewhere. Our colleges offer a vibrant range of societies, social and cultural activities, whilst providing support and a sense of belonging during your time in Durham. The colleges offer good quality, reasonably priced accommodation at Durham University. If this is not for you, they can also help you find local private accommodation to suit your needs.
Library services
The Business School has its own library with a reference collection of core texts and study spaces. Durham University library provides an excellent range of collections, resources, and flexible study spaces across several locations and online. The Bill Bryson Library is the main University library with a fantastic range of resources to support your studies.
ICT services
Dedicated spaces provide access to modern IT equipment and areas for working on both individual and group projects.
Medical services
We take the health and wellbeing of all our students very seriously. One of your top priorities is to register with a doctor at a local medical practice so that you can access healthcare in Durham when you need it. This is especially important if you have an ongoing health condition or require repeat medication. We encourage you to start the process of registration with a doctor in Durham.
Campus life
The Business School offers several state-of-the-art lecture theatres, breakout spaces, seminar rooms and a contemporary dining area – alongside numerous sustainable features – it is a truly world-class facility. We are located in Durham City, home to some of the world’s finest architecture, Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral - together designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Durham is compact and friendly and provides all the facilities you would expect of a thriving city including, excellent boutiques, cafés, bars and restaurants. You will enjoy a fantastic student lifestyle, in lively surroundings with a superb choice of events and entertainment. Further afield you can explore the breath-taking scenery.
Sports facilities
The University's multi-million pound sports facilities are set in spacious grounds on the outskirts of Durham City and boast an impressive range of state-of-the-art facilities, including an indoor rowing tank, a world-class fencing piste, indoor cricket nets, and a performance analysis suite. There are also facilities for use by athletes with disabilities, and an extended sports hall and changing rooms.
