History
Selcuk Yasar Sports and Education Foundation decided to establish Yasar University in 1999. Yasar Group of Companies, known for their contribution and leadership in the Turkish economy, wished to establish a contemporary university.
Education
With its distinguished staff, Yasar University aims at creating contemporary and innovative individuals who can think analytically, that have an ability of questioning and comparison, and also have a social responsibility to solve problems and that can create added value. Our university also counts it as a responsibility to improve our students’ taste in art and design.

Student services
Selcuk Yasar Campus has studios, workplaces, laboratories specially for each department besides the classrooms furnished with high technology. The student clubs founded by the students are active in the fields of culture, art and sports so that students can put their free time to good use with socio-economic activities. Students joining our programs are each assigned a mentor who is a current student of Yaşar, and who assists our incoming new students.
Housing services
The newly built halls of residence are located within five minutes walk of the university campus. They offer students a safe and comfortable environment as well as providing entertainment options during their study years. The buildings accommodate some 400 students with 24/7 security. All rooms (twin or triple bed options) have in-suite bathrooms and are furnished to the highest standard with the students’ needs in mind.
Library services
The Information Center was established to support Ya?ar University education and research programs and to cover the information and documentation needs of the students at national and international scale. In addition, books and articles from local and international universities are provided. There are computers for use 24/7 in the library that students can use at their disposal.
ICT services
Wireless internet connection is provided in every part of the campus. Document transformation regarding official documents is also implemented online. To reduce paper consumption, the announcements in our campus are made through digital announcement screens in particular points. There are computer
Medical services
Health services on campus are provided by the Health, Culture and Sports Directorate. The Yaşar University Health Centre is the first point of application for students experiencing any kind of health problem
Campus life
Our campus is an academic area operating international standards in terms of providing students with a natural environment and physical space. In order to provide the physically disabled students with an environment in which they can move easily, there are elevators and ramp mechanisms on campus. Public transportation is available right in front of the front entrance of the campus, and within a 15 minute metro ride to the shore.
Sports facilities
We are currently building a brand new Health, Culture, and Sports Centre which we expect to finish by Fall 2024.
Student clubs
Students are encouraged to join clubs put together by students of Yaşar to express their interests and bring their personalities forward and broaden their social horizons.
CEA (Commission on English Language Program Accreditation), the world’s leading accreditation agency for quality in language teaching in higher education, granted 10-year accreditation to Yaşar University Prep-Class.
