Four Faculties provide research-led teaching with academic rigour in a range of subjects across the Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Medicine and Health Sciences. Degrees may be offered as full-time and part-time options, and also include professional studies such as teaching, medicine, law and business, as well as a number of short course professional development opportunities.

Focused around six themes our research spans the global challenges that we face: from meeting the needs of an ageing population to understanding the unique and fragile environments we live in, to tackling energy, food and water security so we can make the best use of our planet’s resources.

The research stories behind our themes showcase the ways in which we are seeking to address and answer the demands of our society as well as how we are informing, changing and adapting to them.

Student Reviews

Anonymous rated 5 out of 5 stars

I got into the University Of East Anglia through clearing because I did not get my first choices. Although UEA first seemed like a failure to me because I felt like I hadn’t earned my place and because I thought it wasn’t good enough because it wasn’t my first choice, I am very happy with my decision. I am studying law with European legal systems and I absolutely love it...

I am very satisfied by the guidance and support I had from the university throughout all 3 years of my studies.

The standard of teaching is high. More language resources could be provided however such as specific resources (i.e. French films/newspapers) just for language students.
