Overview

The Teaching, Learning, and Leadership program of University of Pennsylvania lets students choose one of two areas of specialization: Teaching and Learning, or Educational Leadership.

Student experience

With small student cohorts that emphasize collaborative learning, the TLL program provides students with the opportunity to tailor their studies to their interests. The program is designed so that students graduate with the ability to work in an informed way in both formal and informal educational settings. Recent graduates from our program have gone on to find employment in after-school programs, museum settings, and educational non-profits.As degree programs in the Teaching, Learning, and Leadership Division are student-driven, TLL students work closely with their academic advisor to tailor their particular program of study to their interests. The M.S.Ed. degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership requires completion of 10 course units of approved graduate-level work, an internship, and a final Master's Paper. Students may enroll on a full-time or part-time basis.
