The M.A. is designed both as a basis for the Ph.D. and as a programme for students who for personal or professional reasons wish to pursue advanced literary studies.

A B.A. in English degree is strongly preferred; in some cases, applicants with a B.A. in adjacent disciplines or equivalent preparation in literary studies may be admitted.

Statement of purpose
