About

The graduate program in chemistry is a thriving community of researchers that engages in cutting-edge science. The projects range from extra-planetary science, to single atom manipulation, to development of therapeutics. The areas of focus are the interface of chemistry and biology, surface science and materials.

Overview

The M.S. program is for students seeking an education at an advanced level in chemistry. Briefly, each student must pass eight graduate-level courses, at least six of which must be formal classroom instruction. With the approval of the student's adviser, up to one-half of the course work may be taken in related fields outside the department of chemistry.
