The Biomedical Imaging program offered by the University of California, San Francisco emphasizes the fundamental principles of medical image formation and explores how imaging is used in a wide range of clinical applications. The MSBI program can be completed in one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study.
MSBI Graduate Students
The MSBI program is a course of study intended for students with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering who wish to master biomedical imaging. The program is initially focused on imaging foundations and then evolves to be more focused on medical applications of imaging. MSBI students also have the opportunity to perform independent research, with the popular thesis option to the program.

Students who have graduated with an undergraduate degree in the basic sciences or engineering will be considered for admission to the Master of Science in Biomedical Imaging (MSBI). In addition to the transcripts from the Bachelor's degree, GRE or MCAT scores will be required. These scores must be current and valid.
