General requirements
- A letter of application, which includes a personal statement of the applicant’s career goals and how the degree will be applied within those career goals
- Complete, official transcripts from all institutions attended. On a separate sheet, applicants should indicate their overall GPA for undergraduate and graduate courses, GPA in all psychology courses, and GPA for the last 60 credits of coursework. Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0
- Standardized graduate admission test (GRE)
- Three letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant’s academic performance and potential for graduate study
- A vita or resume

Funding
The annual Graduate Studies Endowment Scholarships in honor of Drs. C. Robert Waterman, Helen Wilson and Robert McRae will be awarded in the spring. Outstanding graduate students will receive $1,000 each for the academic year as Waterman, Wilson and McRae Scholars. Need or current financial aid will not be considered in making these awards.
