The Social Work programme of Rutgers University offers some of the most robust practicum opportunities in the nation, with student placement in approximately 1,000 practicum learning agencies throughout the state of New Jersey and nation-wide.

The Traditional, On-Campus MSW programme is offered on a full-time and part-time basis on the New Brunswick, Newark, and Camden campuses.

Two online versions of the MSW are available; a 100% Online MSW programme and a Blended Online MSW programme that combines on-line and traditional classrooms.

Our Intensive Weekend MSW programme meets the needs of human service professionals looking to pursue their MSW.

Many of our programmes offer an advanced standing option for students who have earned a baccalaureate degree in social work from an undergraduate social work programme accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

You must be a graduate of an undergraduate School of Social Work that is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

You must demonstrate academic success in all undergraduate social work courses.
You must submit your undergraduate practicum placement evaluation as part of the MSW application process.
