Overview
Each new Computer Science student at Kansas State University is assigned a faculty member to serve as an academic adviser. The academic adviser helps students select courses and reviews the student's progress until a major professor is selected.
Learning outcomes
The Graduate School requires all Graduate Students to file a Program of Study. This a formal list of courses the student intends to take to fulfill the degree requirements.
Computer Science Graduate Students must submit a program of study checklist along with their program of study. General requirements
- A strong background in computer science is normally required for admission. Evidence of this background should include either a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field. Exceptional candidates with degrees in other areas will also be considered. The undergraduate grade point average should be at least 3.0, although a 3.5 GPA is recommended.
