The Department of Physics at Florida State University offers programs of study leading to the Master of Science (MS) degree. The department is strongly committed to graduate education and supports it by maintaining a strong, well-funded, and diverse research program.

Career outcomes

A basic goal of the program of graduate education is to prepare students for careers in research and related fields.

Minimum requirements for admission are a 3.0 grade point average in upper-level (junior and senior year) undergraduate course work.
The Physics subject GRE is not a requirement, but will be considered as part of your application if you choose to provide it.
