Course Details

Transportation and logistics are the root of the global supply chain. This accredited online Transportation and Logistics Management program at American Public University provides a higher-level examination of the principles, policies, and trends in air, maritime, and ground transportation; supply chain optimization; security; and sustainability.

Portions of this MA program have been developed in partnership with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Global Maritime and Transportation School. You will engage in group case studies, working alongside students who are practicing military and civilian logisticians and supply chain professionals.

What You Will Do

Apply economic principles to evaluate the performance of a transportation system
Analyze the impact of laws and regulations on various modes of transportation in the U.S.
Examine global transportation issues, including systems, documentation, providers, and challenges
Compare transportation buyer/seller relationships, third-party relationships, negotiations, bidding, contracts, and relationship management

All APU master's degree/graduate certificate programs require a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA®).
