As part of a truly interdisciplinary and globally connected program, our students work closely with nationally and internationally recognized faculty engaged in high-impact research—from uncovering molecular mechanisms of disease to advancing the next generation of therapeutics targeting cancer, cardiovascular conditions, and beyond. With strong ties to the UAMS Clinical Enterprise, Translational Research Institute, BioVentures, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and NCTR, our trainees gain access to exceptional resources and real-world translational opportunities.

Designed in collaboration with the UAMS Graduate School, the PharmSci track offers flexible MS, PhD, and PharmD/PhD pathways that combine a rigorous curriculum with immersive research experiences tailored to each student’s goals. References Excellent letters of reference are required and previous research experience is desirable but not required.

Foreign Applicants Applicants should obtain scores of 95 on the Internet based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Faculty Support To gain admission, students are required to obtain the support of a Pharmaceutical Sciences track-specific faculty advisor who holds sufficient resources for the student’s graduate stipend (years three and four) as well as the students research investigations (years one through four).
