Valparaiso University’s Social Work program carries a legacy of excellence dating back to its bachelor of social work accreditation in the 1970s. Today, Valpo’s new Master of Social Work (MSW) program continues that tradition by preparing passionate and motivated leaders to serve at the forefront of social change — equipping professionals for roles in mental health settings, schools, the criminal justice field, and beyond.Flexibility and ethics are at the heart of the Valpo MSW experience. Students can complete the program online or in person, with multiple pathways to graduation that accommodate non-traditional students – all without compromising the transformational educational experience needed for excellent social work practice.
