Overview
Oral and Population Health from University of Pennsylvania program will contribute to the creation of future population health leaders and researchers who will have skills to produce and use evidence to inform policies, are sensitive to health equity issues, are capable of developing health policies and operationalize and act on decision-making based on transdisciplinary principles, and competent in implementing system-level changes and advocacy initiatives.

This online program (synchronous and asynchronous) provides students access to state-of-the-art information, knowledge, and skills in population health, focusing on oral health as an essential component of overall health and well-being. There is no component of this degree program that occurs in person. Students will interact and learn from world-renowned leaders in population health research and evidence-informed policies, providing a host of disciplines, contexts, research methods, and cultures.

General requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree must be completed at the time of planned matriculation in order to be eligible to apply to the program. If an advanced degree is listed on your application, the expectation is that it will be earned prior to matriculation.
- This online program does not require or offer on-campus presence on the University of Pennsylvania campus. For international students, no U.S. student visa sponsorship is required or offered.
- The MOPH program will also enroll selected Penn Dental predoctoral students interested in completing the MOPH degree concurrent with their dental school education as dual degree DMD/MS students. Penn Dental predoctoral students are ineligible to apply to MOPH until the spring semester of their D1 year after receiving instruction from the Office of Academic Affairs.
