Graduates will:

Integrate and perform essential skills in clinical assessment and interviewing, case conceptualization and counseling interventions.
Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in real and simulated client interactions.
Demonstrate competency with clinical research methods, including program evaluation and delivery of evidence-based care.
Integrate personal, cultural, social, economic, disability-related and environmental factors in case conceptualization and counseling interventions.
Demonstrate their mental health counseling professional identity and values as evidenced by self-awareness, engagement with professional counseling organizations and a commitment to advocacy and social justice.

General requirements

A bachelor’s degree is required preferably in psychology, rehabilitation sciences, human services, social sciences or a related field. Students can submit an application while they are finishing their degree.
A minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (based on 4.0) is suggested.
If the student’s GPA falls below 3.0, the application may still be considered. Students will be considered if their GPA is below a 2.8 and they have taken graduate studies/courses.
