Overview
The Interdisciplinary Gerontology - Long-Term Care Administration program offered by Bowling Green State University is nationally accredited. The degree prepares graduates to sit for the federal ("the NAB"), Ohio and many other state licensure exams to qualify for a nursing home administrator license.

- Go far in your career. BGSU gerontology LTC programs are accredited as Health Service Executive (HSE) programs. HSE approval means not only can you take licensure exams for nursing home, assisted living and community-based services, your license will have more portability between states, professions and job promotions.
- Gain real-world experience. Complete a 1,000-hour, supervised internship on-site at a licensed nursing home serving older adults. The Administrator Residency (AR) path provides additional practical training and experience in students’ local areas.

- Submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (If GPA is greater 3.0 for Bachelors, the GRE will be waived. Contact your department to have this waived.)

- International applicants are required to submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTEA). Successful completion of ELS 112 will also be accepted for this requirement.
