Overview

The Certificate in Periodontics with Master Degree program at The University of Texas at San Antonio includes an advanced curriculum track that is conducted over a three-year period of time. This program actively recruits applicants who will strive for both clinical and academic excellence through the vigorous and continuous challenges provided to them.

While in this program, residents gain wide experience in all facets of Periodontology, making them well-rounded in their future profession. In fact, the mission of the Postdoctoral Periodontics Program is to produce the best clinical periodontists in the nation who will go on to give back to the profession of dentistry during the course of their careers.

Primary objectives of this program include:

Learning all aspects of periodontics and dental implant therapy
Gaining comprehensive knowledge of evidence through research
Teaching other health professionals in various aspects of the specialty

Three Professional Evaluation Forms (Letters of Recommendation) uploaded to ADEA PASS
Institution Evaluation Form (formerly called the Dean’s Letter) submitted by the Dean’s Office to ADEA PASS.
GRE and/or ADAT scores uploaded to ADEA PASS.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT)
A current photograph of the applicant and the application fee
Application Fee of $80.00.
Applicants who are Permanent Residents of the U.S. must provide a certified copy of both the front and back sides of their federal Green Card.
