Overview

Dual degrees offer students the opportunity to complete two graduate-level degrees at the same time. It is managed by the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services. In some instances, credit may be shared between the two institutions, helping students complete their degrees faster together than they would separately.

Key Facts

This Dentistry and Public Health program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston allows students to complete both degrees more efficiently and with fewer total credit hours than if each degree were pursued separately.

Students pursuing a dual degree are entered into the Customized MPH plan at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.

Dual degree students must complete all partner program degree requirements and apply for graduation from the partner institution to be eligible for MPH degree conferral. In most cases, degree conferral for both programs must occur in the same semester.
