General requirements
In addition to satisfying the Graduate School application and admission requirements, you must also submit:
- Essay of at least 500 words that speaks to your potential as an elementary or elementary French immersion teacher also required. Those applying for the French immersion concentration are encouraged to write their essay in French.
- Conditional program acceptance pending official scores for the appropriate content area PRAXIS II tests
- Elementary French Immersion concentration only: demonstration of an intermediate-high level of French proficiency by either (1) having earned a four-year, undergraduate bachelor's degree in French and/or Francophone Studies or (2) a score of B1 level on the European Framework exam (DELF)/Intermediate High on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)
