Student Experience

Build leadership expertise through our innovative Active Learning method while collaborating with exceptional classmates in case studies, discussions, group projects, and events held virtually and around the world. The curriculum is enhanced with an online library, paid research databases, lifelong access to many courses, and resume and cover letter consultations.

Our Method

Valar leverages the pioneering, technology-driven instruction designed by Quantic. This highly-engaging system, that frequently prompts students to interact and gives individualized feedback, has been proven to be more effective than lecture-based programs.

Bite-sized lessons, available from your cell phone, are married with a social learning platform that directly connects you with a cohort of like-minded peers.

Social Learning

The Executive MBA is not a solitary learning experience. Throughout your course of study, you’ll have ample opportunities to engage with classmates around the world in our social learning platform. Students hone real-world leadership skills by working together on case studies and collaborative group assignments throughout the program, including a final capstone project.

Events

Our virtual and in-person meet-ups and excursions in international cities around the world give students the chance to socialize and network with their high-achieving peers. These optional events provide an exciting opportunity to hear from corporate leaders and meet peers face-to-face for workshops and case studies.

The curriculum is composed of 9 required concentrations and a capstone project during the 12-month course of study.

Business Consultancy Capstone

Students have the opportunity to work individually or as a group in the Capstone Project.

Students in the Valar EMBA program are required to create a business consultancy plan for an external organization. Students must submit a one-page response to a very short client brief in order to win the consultancy project, the decision about which will be made by Valar faculty and staff.

Audience

Valar is selective in admissions and welcomes an international group of highly motivated professionals who are eager to become more strategic, persuasive, and effective leaders. Most are mid-career with more than 7 years work experience and come from a diverse set of backgrounds, roles, and industries.
