- In a concisely written statement, please describe your past and present work as it relates to your intended field of study, your educational objectives, and your career goals.
- A writing sample is required. It should be limited to 15 double-spaced pages, perhaps excerpting a longer work. It should be a term paper, essay, or publication that demonstrates your capacity to conduct research and/or social, political, or cultural analysis. It need not have been published.
- Required for all applicants. Please write a one page document that details your study and experience in regional languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, Persian, Urdu, Hindi or any other language of the Middle East). This can include study abroad, heritage speaker background, informal study of the language as well as classes that you took in high school and/or college for credit. Please indicate if a study of a language is of interest to you during your MA program, and if so, what language.
