The Biomedical Sciences from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences also offer a formal MCAT preparation course to help you learn exam material and how to best prepare and take the standardized entrance exam.

Tailor a course of study to your career goals and work with a capstone advisor from across any of the ACPHS programs. Attend workshops to develop your medical school application. Meet with health professions school representatives and build your professional network in our program.

A Post-baccalaureate (or Post-bacc) program is for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree and who seek an academic record enhancer to strengthen their application to health professions colleges. The program gives you the opportunity to:

Access individualized advising with a dedicated academic advisor
Strengthen your GPA and overall academic credentials
Ready yourself for the MCAT and other entrance exams
Explore various career paths

In addition to rigorous academic preparation, you'll also develop your application to a health professions program, practice interviewing skills, craft a personal statement, and learn about the admissions process for health professions schools through the Preparation for Health Professions sequence. We will provide a committee letter when you apply to health professions schools.
