Overview
The Orthodontics program from A.T. Still University is completed in 30 months and is composed of clinical training, didactic coursework, teaching experiences, and a research project leading to a research manuscript. The program provides a rich clinically-focused education, and students are exposed to the most current techniques and practices in the field. ASDOH POP awards a master’s degree and certificate in orthodontics to those completing the program.
Overview
The primary purpose of the ASDOH-POP is to educate caring, compassionate, and skilled orthodontists and to serve those in need. The secondary purposes include:
- To continue the lifelong education of the art and science of orthodontics and to be leaders in their communities and our dental profession;
- To prepare graduates with a strong foundation of critical inquiry, evidenced-based practice, research, cultural competency, an orientation to prevention, and interdisciplinary healthcare experiences; and,
- To promote the delivery of optimal patient care and for the transfer of newly acquired knowledge, skills, and technology to the profession and to the community.
