Cardiac Function and Interventional Technology - Professional Program from Harding University seeks to instill essential knowledge, skills, and dispositions for successful careers, and servant leadership in cardiac device interventional technologies with an emphasis in cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology.

Overview

Cardiac rhythm management is the study of abnormal heart rhythms and conditions that are treatable with implantable devices. These devices can perform a variety of diagnostic, pacing and defibrillation functions in order to save and improve patients lives.

Cardiac electrophysiology studies the assessment and treatment of abnormally fast heart rhythms originating from the heart’s conduction system. EP procedures utilize novel, minimally invasive technologies that often achieve curative results for patients.

General requirements

Possess a bachelor’s degree which has been completed at an accredited institution. Official transcripts showing conferment of degree must be provided.
Be currently employed in the fields of cardiac patient care or the cardiac device industry with documented two or more years of experience in their respective fields.
Graduate students at Harding are expected to maintain the highest standards of morality, integrity, orderliness and personal honor.
Request official transcripts be sent directly from previous institutions to CFIT@harding.edu. Harding alumni do not need to request Harding transcripts as they are on file.

A personal statement (400-500 words)
Supervisor letter documenting/confirming current employment and 2 or more years of cardiac device and/or cardiac patient care
