Information Systems is offered by Menlo College. Designed with extensive input from an industry advisory board and business partners interested in hiring individuals to work with “data and information”, the MSIS Program is an opportunity for students who have interest in information and organizations with driven approaches to the world of business, using information and data to develop new business insights.

This blend of information systems and technology makes it an ideal study option for anyone with a desire to learn and work with startup and well-established organizations. The motivation behind this new master’s degree program is also reflected in Menlo College vision and mission to educate students for an innovative and critical thinking context, with a particular focus on the ethical elements embedded within this topical area of study. Students will not only become immersed in the academic rigors associated with an academic mastery of information and technology relevant to enterprises presently, but they will also engage with the applicable technologies to gain hands-on experience so they are able to apply what they’ve learned directly. The MSIS program will obtain STEM designation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). To meet DHS requirements for STEM designation, programs must dedicate 50 percent of their credit hours to courses in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, a bar that these specialized programs meet easily.

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, with one transcript showing a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S., or equivalent academic preparation outside of the U.S., sent to graduateadmissions@menlo.edu
GPA of 3.0 and above preferred, but 2.5-3.0 considered.
An autobiographical statement, approximately 2-3 typed, double-spaced pages describing why candidates are interested in the field, the program, and Menlo College, as well as other pertinent or professional experience.
Two letters of recommendation, preferably one from an academic source and one from a professional source.
