Overview
If you’re ready to turn your bachelor’s degree into a M.Ed. with licensure, Marymount University’s master’s in Elementary Education degree program provides the hands-on experience, group work, and advanced instructional practice you’ll need to make a difference for children in grades PreK–6.
Overview
Marymount offers a 14-week student-teaching internship at a Pk-6 school at one of our metro D.C. partners in public, private, or parochial schools. You can also gain a global perspective through dynamic study abroad opportunities in countries like Panama, Colombia, Uganda, or New Zealand.
Assist faculty from our elementary teacher education program on research projects that positively impact the field, or pursue a passion of your own. Students in our master’s in Elementary Education program have presented their findings at conferences and symposiums locally, nationally, and internationally. These experiences can enhance your resume or CV when seeking Elementary Education jobs after graduation.
At Marymount, some of our coursework in elementary education is integrated with other M.Ed. majors. Share diverse perspectives and strategies, and collaborate with your peers.
