ou’ll also choose electives from one of four concentrations, giving you the opportunity to shape the programme based on your personal interests and professional needs.
You can attend classes online, in person, or a combination of both. We schedule all courses during late afternoons and evenings, making them convenient for part-time students who work.
Our AI programme provides a comprehensive study of the field. Your core courses will cover the fundamental principles and practices in areas like computational learning, algorithm analysis and design, and software engineering. You’ll also choose three courses from one of four concentrations:
- Computer Vision
- Intelligent Interaction
- Knowledge Management and Reasoning
- Machine Learning
Depending on which concentration you choose, you may select courses in computer graphics, robot vision, computer game design, human-computer interaction, text mining and information retrieval, information security, data mining, deep learning, research advances in artificial intelligence, fuzzy systems, and many related topics.

General requirements
- The candidate must complete at least 30 semester hours of graduate work approved by the program advisor/graduate advisory committee with a grade of at least a B covering all courses elected.
- The online courses utilize video streaming of the lectures given on campus. The online students have the opportunity to interact with the instructors and with fellow students (both on campus as well as online) through CANVAS. The class lectures, notes, and discussions are posted on CANVAS for online students' access.
- An applicant to the program should hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent degree in engineering from an accredited program with a minimum cumulative grade point of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). An applicant with a lower GPA, or an applicant with a non-engineering bachelor's degree in a science or mathematics program, may be considered for admission consistent with the guidelines.
