Overview
The EdS in educational leadership prepares candidates to serve as principals, supervisors or superintendents in elementary and/or secondary systems.The EdD and PhD in educational leadership prepare leaders for service in many types of educational agencies and organizations. The PhD is more research oriented and requires more courses in advanced research methodologies. Both doctorates require the successful completion of a dissertation.
The Graduate Certificate provides specialized knowledge in the field without completing the full master’s degree.

General requirements
- The Graduate Certificate and the MA requires a bachelors degree (or non-U.S. equivalent) from an accredited institution and minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.60 (applicants with lower GPA may be admitted upon consideration of the composite profile).
- Two recommendations for both the Graduate Certificate and the MA. Three recomendations for the EdS, EdD and PhD. Recommenders may be advisors, major professors or employers.
- Resume describing employment, research or special projects.
