The occupational therapy doctorate degree curriculum is guided by four principles: clinical reasoning, occupation, research and professional behavior.
In addition to equipping you with the knowledge you will need as an occupational therapist, we utilize an interprofessional educational approach to prepare you to work with other healthcare students and professionals in your career.

General requirements

To be admitted to the Harold Lloyd Murphy Graduate School at Alabama State University, you must have:

A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university. You also must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 as an undergraduate. For both the Alternative A and Traditional Master’s program in Education, we also require a 2.5 GPA.

Resume.

GRE/MAT test scores.

GMAT scores (Master of Accountancy only).

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

Three professional letters of recommendation. These should come from individuals who can speak positively about your ability to do graduate-level work in your desired field.
