General requirements
To be admitted to the Harold Lloyd Murphy Graduate School at Alabama State University, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university. You also must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5 as an undergraduate. For both the Alternative A and Traditional Master’s program in Education, we also require a 2.5 GPA.
- Resume.
- GRE/MAT test scores.
- GMAT scores (Master of Accountancy only).
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- Three professional letters of recommendation. These should come from individuals who can speak positively about your ability to do graduate-level work in your desired field.
- Statement of Purpose: This is where you state your purpose and objective for seeking a graduate degree. Be sure to mention any employment and academic experiences related to the field you plan to study.
