Program Requirements (Certification):

To be admitted to the Master of Arts in Teaching, the prospective educator candidate must meet all requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies, including fingerprints, verification of background clearance and a valid bachelor’s-level professional educator certificate in the same teaching field(s) in which the master’s-level certificate is sought.

Program Requirements (Non-Certification):

To be admitted to the non-certification MAT degree, the prospective student must meet all requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies. Teacher certification is not necessary for this degree program. However, students in this program must concentrate in the same field as their undergraduate major or have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours in the desired field.
