Overview
Taught by expert practitioners, the University of San Diego's online MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence (MS-AAI) curriculum is designed to equip graduates with the technical strategies and skills they will use to apply powerful analytical tools to real-world applications in the workplace. The program culminates in a Capstone experience that pairs them with fellow students, instructors, and potential industry partners on an in-depth project that showcases their ability to apply their AI knowledge and skills.

General requirements
The online Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence program is designed to attract candidates who have some real-world or research experience in their profession and a background in computer engineering, statistics, computer science, data science, information technology, electrical engineering or a related STEM field.
Candidates are required to have or provide the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited institution.
- Bachelor’s GPA of 2.75 or higher (official transcripts required)
- A personal statement outlining their overall qualifications for the program
- Resume or curriculum vitae
- Recommendation letter from candidate’s current supervisor/manager
- Applicants are also required to complete an Applied Artificial Intelligence Self-Assessment Test in preparation for the program. Your enrollment adviser will share further details about this self-assessment.
