General requirements

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
A cumulative undergraduate GPA or master’s degree GPA of 3.00 (minimum to apply). If below the 3.0 please contact the program for extenuating circumstances.
A completed application through Occupational Therapy Centralized Application System (OTCAS) www.otcas.org, Note: Submit the WSSU application fee by January 15th.
WSSU OT will accept a minimum of 25 hours to fulfill the shadowing requirement hours.
Three recommendations (If possible, please have a letter of recommendation from an OT Practitioner where student volunteered or worked)
A written essay
A grade of “C” or higher in all prerequisite courses. Must have completed at least four of the seven prerequisite courses by the application deadline.
An admission interview or video may be required (additional details would be provided).
At this time the GRE is not being required.
