Overview
Key Features
The Teaching program at Mars Hill University is a graduate level initial licensure program. The goal of obtaining licensure at the graduate level is to improve the education of students and their teachers. We carry out this mission by applying to the educational process all available knowledge about teaching, learning, and leadership in the context of an increasingly diverse society and a rapidly changing global economy.
We believe that teachers who have a learner-centered and creative pedagogy, deep knowledge of the disciplines, and a commitment to critical agency have the opportunity to strengthen the community as a whole. In education, we see the opportunity to build a better society.
Classroom portions of the program will have the option of synchronous online delivery (your learning community will meet online at the same scheduled time every week). Classroom placements and student teaching must be completed in a classroom setting and we will work with you on placement that is in your location.
