Key Features

Sidney Kimmel Medical College faculty from the Department of Neuroscience and other basic science and clinical departments train students in a breadth of topical areas in basic and translational neuroscience.

The curriculum of Neuroscience program at Thomas Jefferson University includes neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology and requires completion of a research or capstone thesis depending on student's career path. A flexible program and multidisciplinary faculty prepare students to pursue professions in diverse fields, including education, research in academia and industry, and consulting.

All of our master's programs are designated Professional Science Master’s (PSM). PSM is a graduate/professional degree grounded in science and designed for a variety of career options in business, government, or non-profit organizations. The degree combines advanced coursework in science with an array of professional skill-development activities aligned with the needs of 21st-century employers.
