Key features
Behavior Analysis and Autism Studies program at State University of New York at New Paltz offers students education and training in the field of behavior analysis, the history of autism spectrum disorders, characteristics of autism, family systems, educational strategies, and interdisciplinary approaches to providing services and supports.
The program meets the educational content requirements for New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) licensure as well as the coursework requirements for Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB) certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Our faculty have built relationships with organizations around the region to provide our students with supervised opportunities to begin fulfilling fieldwork hour requirements for licensure. The program schedule positions students to pursue paid roles in schools, residential facilities and other community partnership sites that are ideal settings for applying classroom learning in the real world.
