Overview
The Mathematics for Elementary and Middle Grades Master of Arts program at the University of Northern Iowa prepares graduates to become leaders in the field of mathematics education. Graduates will have a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and will be able to effectively teach these concepts to elementary and middle school students. They will also have a strong foundation in educational theory and practice, and will be able to design and implement effective instructional strategies.
Hybrid delivery
Courses are offered entirely online over six semesters, using dynamic platforms including Zoom video conferencing and Blackboard. The summer semesters include two weeks of in-person instruction on the UNI campus. The program is delivered in a cohort model, allowing you to study with the same group of teachers throughout the program.
