Overview
The Peace Studies program at Unification Theological Seminary provides students with the knowledge and skills needed by peace professionals. It dedicates particular attention to the study of conflict analysis and transformation and pays special attention to the impact of religion and culture on intra-state and inter-state relations. The program is designed for individuals who intend to pursue careers in public service through intergovernmental organizations, government agencies and non-governmental organizations. The faculty and staff in the program work collaboratively with the Universal Peace Federation, a Unification-related NGO with more than 120 national chapters, which holds general consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Throughout the Master of Arts in Peace Studies course of study, the following program objectives are emphasized:- Education in the theory and practice of conflict transformation for public leadership.
- Education in the religious dimension of peace and conflict transformation, including the peace teachings and practices of Unificationism.
- Capacity-building through theoretical courses and a hands-on internship of experientially grounded peace professionals.

- Official transcripts from all colleges, universities, or seminaries attended.
- Two recommendation letters, one from the applicant's pastor, church elder or faith community leader.
- TOEFL score (for non native English speakers).
- One digital and one passport-size photograph
- Proof of immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR). Students born before 1/1/1957 are exempted from this requirement.
